Hi there @Noharanda! Getting featured is not something people usually plan, in my case, someone was writing a gift guide for buzzfeed, they searched etsy for "curse word" and my items came up. They featured one of my mugs.

Now back then, that sort of thing just *HAPPENED* and you wouldn't know until you got TONS of traffic. But these days, there are a lot more places you can post, submit your items, or even get consistently featured.

Here's the #1 rule of being featured: NEVER pay someone to post or feature your item.

People who charge (even if it's just $20) DO NOT have engaged audiences. They pay for traffic through google because their stuff isn't high enough quality to rank on it's own.

That being said, you can try to get featured in a few ways, here are the ones that are working NOW:

*Write an article on medium.com* (this needs to be something USEFUL, that people really really want!! It should NOT be all about your product). An example would be a knitting pattern seller posting a guide titles "How to knit all your gifts in 2 days or less this Christmas" -- and then in that article, she posts a link to a pattern kit she created specifically to help people complete the challenge.

*You can write GUEST POSTS for places like Buzzfeed and HuffPost* Big news / media / entertainment outlets have to produce CONTENT. They are always scrambling for more things to post, just to keep up. All you have to do is create a gift guide for them! Round up a bunch of Etsy products (yours included!) and make a simple guide (example: "The Best Gifts for People Who Have too Many Cats")

Here's a complete list of places you can guest post, and links to do that: https://www.websitehostingrating.com/list-of-200-websites-that-accept-guest-posts/

*Send Free Items to Influencers* You can get your items featured on YouTube or Instagram pretty easily, in fact, there are programs that directly connect you with influencers so you can find pre-vetted people who will happily post to their 100k+ followers for you. Here's a program that does just that: https://www.fourstarzz.com/

Hope that helps!
