Hi Jenni, this has worried me, not for my own shop, but because the other day I was leaving some reviews on Etsy and accidentally left a one star review. I left a fabulous review in writing but accidentally only clicked one star when I meant to leave five. The seller messaged me and queried it and I apologised and immediately changed it to 5 stars but from what you have said the 1 star review will have registered with Etsy and now I feel awful. It was a complete accident, I just didn’t check that I had clicked enough stars.
As an Etsy seller myself I never leave a bad review on Etsy, I would either contact the seller or maybe just not leave a review. Whilst I want to be on the receiving end of great customer service I also know that sometimes things just go a little awry and mistakes can be made by anyone.
Don't worry Kay -- it's unlikely this seller will run into any trouble unless they continue to get one star reviews month after month! Etsy has clearly stated that they will be speaking with sellers privately (they don't just shut down shops without advance warning and clear discussion...according to their website!
